Nestled away in the King Parrot creek valley, 1 hour 15 minutes north of Melbourne is Flowerdale Alpacas.
Stay in luxurious self contained farmstay suites with, king size beds, énsuite, air conditioning, television and french doors opening out onto beautiful garden areas.
Sweeping lawns and gardens, excellent fishing, tennis, heated pool, gymnasium and sauna. And of course, the most adorable of farm animals, the alpaca, will make your farm visit a most rewarding experience.
The weekend usually begins after lunch on a Saturday. You may choose to arrive earlier and bring a picnic lunch. Dinner in the historic homestead can usually be arranged and the farm is fully licensed. Breakfast is also included. Participate in rounding up the alpacas, then learn how to fit a halter and walk them. Learn about grading and classing the fleece, toenail trimming and vaccinations. In season you may even see a shearing demonstration.
